Council Minutes for the Special Council Meeting on October 21, 2024

Council President Paul Ruane called the meeting to order at 6:14 p.m. 

Roll Call  

Council members present were Mr. Winston Ortiz, Mr. Paul Ruane via conference call, Mr. Charles Stroup, and Dr. Guilbault.

Others present were Ms. Sarah Booher, Livic Civil and Ms. Ann Zartman, Borough Manager.

The special meeting was held to approve the contracts for paving the Queen Street, and Liberty Hollow Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Projects.  Bid opening was October 15th, and held by Livic Civil through PennBid.

Queen Street Project bids were:

​Big Rock Paving, LLC ​ ​ ​ ​$189,280.00

​Fairchild Brothers, Inc. ​ ​ ​ ​$242,672.00

​Gutelius Paving ​ ​ ​ ​ ​$196,445.00

​New Enterprise Stone & Limestone Co ​ ​$181,021.00

​Riteway ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​$248,475.34

Mr. Ruane made a motion to accept the bid from New Enterprise for $181,021.00.  Dr. Guilbault seconded.  All approved. Motion carried. 

Liberty Hollow Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project bids were: 

​Daniel Shingara Enterprises, Inc. ​ ​ ​$414,740.00

​Mobile Dredging & Video Pipe, Inc. ​ ​$656,505.00

​Sikora Brothers Paving, Inc. ​ ​ ​ ​$693,825.00

Mr. Ruane made a motion to accept the bid from Daniel Shingara Enterprises, Inc. for $414,740.00.  Dr. Guilbault seconded.  All approved. Motion carried. 

Mr. Ruane made a motion to adjourn, all seconded, motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 6:19 p.m.
